One child walks in and starts sneezing and coughing and before you know it, the whole house has the plaque! Sound familiar? I go into denial at first. I think “oh, it’s just allergies” but before long, this child has managed to infect the whole house and before the sun comes up the next morning, we all have a fever, runny noses, sore throats and have gone through every box of tissues in the house. Sure enough, it’s cold and flu season! It happens every year and every year I stock up on products that I know will help bring my family relief. A couple of the products that I used for my family in the past couple of weeks have been Mucinex Sinus-Max (Day & Night) and Children’s Mucinex Night Time Multi-Symptom Cold.
Some other ways I like to care for my family are making sure that they stay hydrated and drink plenty of water. It is important to stay hydrated when sick because vomiting and diarrhea can cause dehydration, leading to dizziness, headaches, or even hospitalization in severe cases. When you are sick you often have symptoms such as a runny nose or sweating, which can also contribute to you losing water. When sick, your body temperature tends to increase.
I also l love to make my family their favorite comfort foods and chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese are some foods that they always request when they are down with a cold or the flu. Since I am often a victim of sickness myself and exhausted, it’s so easy to make chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese too!
When you have a family, you just have to be prepared for anything and sickness is definitely one of those things but knowing I can count on Mucinex and my creative methods, I am going to make sure my family is always taken care of!
