When the cold weather sets in, I tend to want to hibernate and abandon my fitness routine. I am just not a cold weather person and unfortunately, I will skip the gym and stay home. But you know what? It may be cold and miserable outside and I have learned that staying fit doesn’t mean I have to spend hours at the gym every day. There are so many ways to stay fit right in the comfort of my own home!
I several things at home that I have been using since it has been cold outside to help keep me fit and healthy. I have a jump rope, ab roller, floor foot pedal exerciser and I have been practicing Yoga on my Yoga mat! On days when I see the sun peeking out, I am out briskly walking trying to soak up all the Vitamin D that I can get too. So, you know what I am doing this winter? I am going to arm myself with some coping strategies. While everyone else is scrambling to stick to their New Year’s resolutions, I’ll be coasting along, wondering why everyone is stressing about warmer weather. All it takes is a few simple fitness strategies to get you through the winter months!
